Photographer and Filmmaker, Will Allen Photography
I first got involved in diving when I was 15 years old and photography when I got a point and shoot camera for Christmas when I was about 11. The photography quickly became a big hobby and the diving more of a summer job assisting with dive charters and open water and advanced scuba classes throughout the Thousand Islands in Upper state New York and Ontario, Canada. Working part time in fashion and product photography and part time in scuba diving I found myself mixing two of my passions one summer and then pushing myself further and further into the underwater photography world after a couple of amazing dives which hooked me on it.
I then started doing more and more dive trips for the purpose of photographs and learning more and more about diving to get to those hard to reach destinations falling in love with cave diving soon into my journey. My first major cave trip was with Dive Rite in the cenotes of Mexico exploring deep into the jungle for unknown cenotes and caves which just left me wanting more.
I have always maintained shooting fashion photography while at home in Montreal but am sure to keep my passions alive filming and photographing my love of all underwater, from the caves in the jungles of Mexico to the white sharks that roam the waters of Guadalupe Island, Mexico. The drive to do and see more never ends and the need to capture it all for the world to see only continues to grow.
