H24 HID Wreck Light

#LT6400H24

DISCONTINUED: NOVEMBER 4, 2008

The 24W HID features the smallest high-power HID light head on the market. European lighting technology makes this one of the most reliable lights on the market. The ballast for the light is located in the canister rather than attached to the light head, keeping divers hands free of a bulky light head. The igniter is located on the head creating a high-performance light in a sleek and compact package. The 12V, 9000 mA NiMH battery reduces bulk and weight as compared to gel cell batteries and offers an approximate burn time of four hours while delivering a strong, crisp white light with 6500 degree Kelvin color temperature and 1,300 lumens of power. Depth rated to 400 feet (121m), the H24 comes standard with a Goodman handmount. The H24 canister holds the battery pack and ballast and is formed from polyvinyl chloride pipe (PVC). Coupled with its round shape and PVC construction the canister is [continued]

indestructible even under extreme pressures. The canister lid houses the on/off switch inside a switch guard to prevent accidental on/off. A compression o-ring seal keeps water from entering the canister and locking latches prevent unintentional opening of the lid. A webbing loop allows for mounting of the canister to standard 2-inch webbing waist straps. Includes NiMH charger required for NiMH battery pack. The H24 HID Wreck comes packed inside a protective case.

  • H24 test tube lens with focusable beam
  • 24-watt HID H24 bulb is 300% brighter than halogen. Has an 1,100 hour life and requires a warm-up time of 4-minutes after striking prior to shut-off.
  • Color temperature of 6,500 degrees Kelvin (approximately 1,300 lumens)
  • External, adjustable focus reflector
  • Burn time is approximately 4-hours
  • 12V 9000 mA NiMH battery requires cycling when first used to achieve maximum burn times.
  • Charger has 120/220 Vac rating with auto sensing with a standard 2-pole sealed plug and 2-pronged wall outlet plug that connects to any standard power outlet. Red and Green LED indicators.
  • Single compression style o-ring canister seal prevents water entering canister.
  • Compression-style locking hatches eliminates unintentional opening of the lid.
  • [continued]
  • Two-inch nylon webbing belt mount fits standard webbing harnesses.
  • Canister mounted toggle switch with protector to minimize accidental on/off.
  • 6.7 lbs (3.05 kg) including battery
  • Buoyancy is 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg) negative in fresh water
  • H24 light head: 4.15-inches long x 3-inches diameter at reflector and 2.25-inches diameter at collar (10.5cm x 7.6cm and 5.7cm)
  • H24 canister: 11-inches long x 3.5-inches diameter (26.7cm x 8.9cm)
  • It is best not to store a wet light in the protective case for long periods. Moisture will build up on the inside of the canister lid, which causes the switch to rust.

Lamartek, Inc. dba Dive Rite will — at its sole discretion — repair or replace dive light components proved to be damaged by faulty manufacture or material, at no cost, for a period of up to one year (365 days) from the date of purchase.

• Canister bodies and the metal portions of light heads are warranted for the life of the product.

• Batteries are warranted against defects in manufacture or material for 90 days from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover loss of battery “burn time” — condition that results almost exclusively from mis-use or abuse. Users must read and study the rated “burn time” information appearing Dive Rite’s website. Failure to do so can easily result in expensive damage not covered under warranty.

• Attempting to charge damaged batteries can further result in damage to chargers. This is not covered under warranty [continued]

— nor is damage to chargers caused by nonstandard alternating current voltages or cycle rates. Chargers returned under warranty must be accompanied by the battery they were being used to charge. If the battery is determined to be the cause of charger damage, no warranty coverage will be provided.

• The warranty also specifically excludes bulbs, lenses, fuses, O-rings, or other conditions resulting from misuse, negligence, failure to properly lubricate o-rings, alteration, accident, or nauthorized repair.
