FAQs
What is the difference between the XT2 and XT4 second stages?
The XT2 is Dive Rite’s reliable, workhorse second stage regulator. The XT4 is slightly smaller/more compact, making it a popular choice for sidemount or doubles diving. The XT4 also features a robust metal faceplate and a finned metal heat exchanger for cold water use.
What is the difference between the XT1 and FT1 first stages?
The XT1 features two fixed high pressure ports on opposing sides of the first stage and five low pressure ports on a rotating turret, ideal for technical diving. The FT1 features flat high and low pressure ports angled at ninety degrees for optimal hose routing. This fixed turret design is ideal for open water diving.
How often should I have my regulators serviced?
We recommend service every two years or 100 hours of dive time. Water intrusion can increase the frequency of service intervals.
Are Dive Rite regulators oxygen compatible/clean?
Dive Rite regulators are built with oxygen compatible parts. Service at Dive Rite headquarters follows oxygen clean protocols. Regardless of how they are built and serviced, once exposed to the elements, contaminates can compromise the oxygen cleaning.

What Nitrox percentage can Dive Rite regulators safely handle?
Dive Rite regulators are Nitrox ready up to 40%, because at 40% or less the care and maintenance is the same as air.
